Abstract This project aims to investigate the modifications suffered by jets, hadrons generated by the fragmentation of partons in hard scattering, by the medium formed in collisions between relativistic heavy ions. The measurement of jet modifications and subsequent comparison with theoretical models is a very powerful tool for studying the properties of the medium formed in these collisions. In this project, it is intended to use alternative artificial intelligence techniques, especially those unsupervised, to identify the jets modified by the medium formed in collisions between heavy ions, seeking to overcome limitations of supervised techniques that have been used in recent years. | |
