Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the priorities in public policies in the rhetoricalagenda of the presidents of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. We will seek tounderstand if there are common priorities that characterize a regional presidential agenda orif each country has its own priorities. To achieve the proposed objectives, we will analyzeannual statements capable of demonstrating the priorities in public policies of the electedpresidents in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay (1989-2023). The adoptedmethodology will be based on the protocols of the Comparative Agendas Project (CAP), arenowned framework that allows the creation of a robust database and the conduct ofcomparative analyses in public policies. The research will contribute to enhancing knowledgeabout the dynamics of priorities in public policies in the region, a deeper understanding ofregional relations, and the geographical expansion of the database for comparative policyanalyses in Latin America and the Caribbean.
