Abstract

The psychologist's work context make him vulnerable to the development of emotional symptoms and serious psychological conditions, such as Burnout. Despite the vulnerability to physical and emotional illness, there is a lack of studies with this population in the literature, especially at national level. Based on the Job Demands-Resources model and possible protective and risk factors for health at work, the main objective of this study is to investigate the impact of Psychological Flexibility and work demands on Burnout and engagement of Brazilian psychologists. This is an exploratory study with a mixed research method. In the qualitative stage, semi-structured interviews will be carried out, with lexical analyzes carried out using the Iramuteq Software. In the quantitative stage, the sociodemographic and functional data questionnaire, BAT-23, UWES, AAQ-II and COPSOQ-II will be used, with descriptive, correlation, multiple linear regression and structural equation analyses. It is understood that the present project has the potential to fill gaps found in the scientific literature and clarify the influence of psychological flexibility on Burnout in psychologists, providing support for the development of interventions and public policies aimed at preventing illness in Brazilian psychologists.
