Abstract

Application of electrolytic processes to remove and degrade emerging contaminants in sewage, surface water, groundwater, and public water supplies. Activities include the evaluation of contaminant pre-concentration methods, the use of advanced electrodes (boron-doped diamond anodes and modified metal oxide electrodes), and the study of the most suitable combined processes for each type of contamination. Additionally, the research focuses on optimizing operational conditions and analyzing the efficiency and durability of the electrodes used, aiming to maximize contaminant removal and minimize the formation of undesirable by-products.
