Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is the metabolic disorder most associated with pregnancy, and with important impacts on the perinatal outcomes. Therefore, antenatal care must, in addition to providing for timely screening for DM during pregnancy, provide adequate follow-up care, and include educational activities for pregnant women and their families. Aim: Construct and validate an educational material to promote the health of pregnant women with diabetes. Method: This is a methodological study developed from three stages. 1. Construction of educational material (e-book) based on a narrative review of the scientific literature; 2. Validation of the appearance and content of educational material by a committee of experts in the areas of obstetrics and/or educational technologies; 3. Analysis of the data obtained in the previous stage will be processed and analyzed. Results: It is planned to construct and validate an educational material that contributes to promoting the health of pregnant women with diabetes and that assists the multidisciplinary team in promoting care for these women and their families.
