Abstract

This project is part of a collaborative work with the Department of Indigenous Women (DMIRN) of the Federation of Indigenous Organizations of the Rio Negro (FOIRN), the Socioenvironmental Institute (ISA) and the Observatory of Gender Violence in Amazonas (OVGAM). In addition to strengthening this joint work, the grantee of this undergraduate research program will carry out a survey of articles and public reports from institutions available online in Portuguese, English and Spanish and that have been published from the year 2000. This survey will focus on community interventions and processes involving strategies to fight violence against indigenous women and indigenous people in different parts of the world. The specific search and categorization strategies and parameters will be defined together with the advisor at the beginning of the research. This work will be essential for advancing in the partnerships carried out with the institutions mentioned above, in which we seek to advance the ongoing process of knowledge production about the ways in which Amazonian indigenous women mobilize cosmopolitical relationships and knowledge for "care" in confrontation of violence. The grantee will have the opportunity to develop their research skills, collaborate with a heteroclitic and interdisciplinary team of researchers and collaborators, and publicize important research results.
