Abstract Rural areas, particularly large and ecologically sensitive regions like Brazil's Cerrado and Amazon biomes, present unique challenges for environmental monitoring due to their vastness and the complexity of their ecosystems. Addressing issues such as land degradation and forest fires requires innovative approaches to data collection and analysis. This Workplan leverages the potential integration of quantum sensing technology with quantum-secure networks systems for enhanced environmental monitoring in these areas. These sensors are designed to detect subtle environmental changes indicating land degradation, early signs of forest fires and also precision location tracking, crucial for accurate monitoring and verification of environmental data in rural sensing applications. Additionally, we propose the use of quantum-secure networks equipped to ensure secure data transmission across the network, crucial in preventing data breaches in remote and sensitive environments.Through this initiative, we aim to contribute robustly to the scientific community and promote sustainable management practices. | |
