Abstract

Equivalence-Based Instruction (EBI) has been used to teach a wide variety of relations between stimuli, showing efficiency in its endeavor. The goal for this study is to verify the efficiency of EBI in teaching musical relations between stimuli in adults. The notes that will be taught will be six notes in the scale of C major: C, D, E, F, G and A. These notes will be taught in two clefs, G and F, and the participants will be taught to play the notes in a musical keyboard. The procedure will use specific colors for each note, which will be used as prompts that will gradually fade in four stages. The participants are expected to discriminate musical stimuli under the control of the note on the sheet and on the keyboard.
