Abstract

Interwoven with fragments of the intimate diary kept by the author at the time of her clandestine abortion, carried out in 1964, Annie Ernaux's autobiographical account L'Événement invites reflexion on its own writing process. In this regard, this projet proposes a study of the relation between the autobiographical narrative and documents revealing traces of its creation, including not only the intimate diary pratice but also the writing journal L'Atelier Noir and the account of the writing process undertaken in Le jeune homme. As a complement to the research, a study of the draft of L'Événement could be conducted at French National Library, through an internship period abroad. The aime is to determine, based on the premises of genetic criticism, the influence exerted by those documents on the conception of the literary text, as well as the specificities of creating an autobiographie, particularly an autosociobiographie such as L'Événement.
