Abstract

Metavisualisation has shown potential in teaching chemistry through modelling. The aim of this PhD project is to investigate how metavisual strategies can influence the learning of chemistry and the development of metavisual skills over the course of a year. This will be a qualitative study from the perspective of Ethnography in Education. Data collection will take place in a popular pre-university course in chemistry classes. The metavisual activities will be carried out in some classes and will be aligned with the institution's teaching plan. The results will be analysed following the logic of the multipaper format, i.e. an article or event paper will be produced for each specific objective.
