Abstract

The aim of this research is to propose new pedagogical practices for the Public Relations' teaching-learning process supported in the concept and methods of the Management Laboratory developed by Sauaia (2008, 2010, 2013). The Management Laboratory integrates the use of organizational simulator, business game and applied research demonstrating possible paths to a teaching-learning process that effectively approximates academic theory of professional practice. A formation that develop strategic competencies and research abilities in the students is one of the new requirements of the National Curriculum Guidelines for the undergraduate courses of Public Relations instituted in 2013. The proposal is that the study fulfill the following stages a) research of the teaching didactic in Brazil's Public Relations; b) study over the undergraduate teaching didactic with focus on the active methods of learning-teaching and c) the concept's analysis and the methods of the Management Laboratory. Once having learned this three stages, it will be developed and proposed a didactic model adapted to the concept and methods of the Management Laboratory for using in the teaching-learning process of the Public Relation's undergraduate courses. With the elaboration of the thesis it's expected that: a) enlarge the methodological possibilities in the Public Relations' teaching-learning process; b) subsidize the pedagogical planning of the courses considering the new National Curriculum Guidelines orientations (2013) and c) contribute to the professional formation to meet as skills required by the job market and by contemporary society.
