Abstract

Implementing faculty development for interprofessional health education aims to prepare facilitators of this teaching-learning process, move towards interactive, shared training, and strengthen collaborative work in teams centred on users' needs. This study aims to implement and evaluate a teacher development proposal for interprofessional health education. Intervention research will be conducted through the following stages: randomized trial, evaluation through pre-post-test and focus groups. The intervention proposal was designed in a previous research project and have two rounds, the first as a pilot test and the second through improved replication of the intervention applied in the pilot test. The randomized trial will be conducted through the intervention group using hybrid online technology with synchronous and asynchronous moments, and the asynchronous control group. To better control bias, randomization carried out by a specialized professional per cluster will be adopted, in which the control and intervention groups will be from different locations. The IPE faculty development program evaluation will be through qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative data will be obtained through two focus group sessions via Google Meet, using triggering questions about the experience and contributions of the IPE faculty development program. Focus group sessions will be a duration of 60 to 90 minutes, subject to prior scheduling with all members. Quantitative data to faculty development program evaluation will be obtained by applying the instrument: "Assessment of Interprofessional Team Collaboration Scale II (AITCS II). The qualitative data from the focus groups will be analyzed using thematic analysis and the quantitative data from the pre-and post-tests will be organized in an Excel spreadsheet and analyzed using descriptive and multivariate statistics.
