Abstract

Abstract: This research project aims to quantify the universe of distinctions that present Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and compare their academic performance with those who do not present aspirations, considering repetition rates, course evasion and re-enrollment, at the University Centers of Jaguariúna and Indaiatuba, in São Paulo (Brazil).The project is linked to the National Center for Research and Innovation in Mental Health (CISM), together with Module III: "Scientific Implementation and Technology Transfer to Society", axis: Universities. The research method will be a sub-analysis of a large cross-sectional study, ex post facto design, in the quantitative approach, with university students from two private university centers using self-administered questionnaires, containing the Adult ADHD Self-report scale (ASRS-18), addressed by email, text message and WhatsApp, and administrative data on the academic performance of these students.The results obtained will make it possible to identify the incidence of ADHD in the university community and its implications for academic life, encouraging researchers delve into the relevance and scarcity of the subject.
