Abstract

Models for the flow of fluids through porous media systems have plenty of industrial uses. Speciallyto adsorption processes, not only the flow but the energy transfer between the fluid and theadsorbent are fundamental for comprehending those phenomena. This project aims at using theversatility of the Lattice Boltzmann Method in computational discretization of complex geometriesto develop a more profound understanding of the mechanisms of thermal transfer at the mesoscalein porous media flow.
