Abstract This science communication project intends to generate journalistic material about the research carried out by Task 5 of AmazonFACE, which investigates how changes in the forest generated by elevated CO2 (eCO2) impact socio-ecological systems in the Amazon and how human populations might adapt to these changes. The project also looks at how public policies are being produced in concert and influenced by the AmazonFACE experiment. The aim is to raise awareness of the research findings, include them into public discussion, and so affect public policy making. The plan calls for materials for social media, videos, and podcasts in addition to content for sites including Jornal da Unicamp, the Oxigênio podcast, and the GEICT blog. The goal is to increase the social impact of the studies and help local people become more conscious of climate issues. | |
