Abstract

This project focuses on the enantioselective, modular and diastereodiveregent synthesis of rotenoids via aminocatalysis. This processos is expected to occur via the reaction between electron-rich hydroxyarenes (phenols and naphthols) with iminium-ions formed in situ from beta-keto-aldehydes derived from chromones. We intend to apply the scope of this reaction to generate a library of compounds that will allow for the investigation of their antitumoral activity as well as their neurotoxicity through collaborations.
