Abstract

The present internship project abroad focuses on expanding the theoretical-practical investigation of my master's research titled "Underfoot, a Cradle," which explores the relationship between family memory, body, and artistic creation. During my internship in Spain, I intend to create "an overseas bed" and deepen the interdisciplinary connections between performing arts and audiovisual media, exploring the concept of expanded scene. This approach integrates the body, image, and audiovisual technologies in the creation of new forms of dramaturgy and visual poetics, expanding the limits of scenic presence. Contact with the research group Estética y Filosofía de la Imagen, coordinated by Prof. Victoria Pérez Royo at the University of Zaragoza, will be fundamental for investigating new modes of corporeality and their implications in artistic creation. Pérez Royo's investigation "Cuerpos Fuera de Sí," which articulates the material and imaginative realities of the body, directly dialogues with the practices developed at LUME Teatro, which derive from the concepts of Presence: Field (SIMIONI, 2023), Multifaceted Body (COLLA, 2013), and Corporeal Mimesis (HIRSON, 2013), which constitute the technical basis of my research. Furthermore, the internship offers the opportunity to participate in courses and activities of the study projects that Royo is part of, such as EXPERIMENTA and ECLAR, which investigate expanded writings and expanded cinema, fields of my interest. The internship abroad will allow me to broaden the artistic and theoretical perspectives of my research, integrating new methods and technical approaches that contribute both to the development of scenic language and to the internationalization of artistic and pedagogical research in Brazil.
