Abstract

Arboviruses are viruses transmitted by arthropods that form a non-taxonomic group composed of RNA and DNA viruses, maintained cyclically in nature, replicating in susceptible vertebrate hosts and blood-sucking arthropods. They are responsible for emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and are a major Public Health problem with immeasurable economic and social impacts. Objectives: evaluate the serological and molecular profiles for the DENV, CHIKV and ZIKV viruses, obtain the total genome of the viruses isolated in samples from patients with a period of up to 3 days of symptoms and participate in the development of new preventive, diagnostic/prognostic and therapeutics. Methods: The isolation, propagation and viral quantification of DENV, CHIKV and ZIKV will be carried out, collected from patients' serum, plasma and urine samples; culture of Aedes albopictus cell lines (C6/36), Cercopithecus aethiops monkey kidney cell (Vero) and pig kidney epithelial cell (PS) for propagation and viral quantification; RNA extraction, DNA depletion and cRNA synthesis and, at the end, molecular and serological diagnosis of the samples will be carried out.
