Abstract

Cupriavidus necator H16 is a promising bacterium for biotechnological applications aimed at CO2 capture, due to its chemoorganotrophic and chemolithotrophic capabilities. However, engineering tools for C. necator remain limited compared to those available for model organisms. Therefore, this project aims to develop an optimized CRISPR-Cas9 system for C. necator to enhance gene-editing efficiency.
