Abstract

The objective of the present study will be to evaluate the extent of penetration of threetypes of endodontic cements (Ready-to-use bioceramic cement, Resin cement, Bioceramiccement powder + liquid) in lateral canals of curved roots in artificial teeth, after sealing thecement with different devices. One hundred and twenty specimens, presenting curved rootsand simulating external canals will be randomly distributed in 12 groups, according to theendodontic sealers and the used incentive methods. The specimens will be filled using thesingle cone technique, with the cone calibrated to the respiratory diameter and adapted1mm above the apical foramen. The specimens will be radiographed and scored from 0 to4, according to the degree of cement penetration in the lateral canals. Data will bestatistically analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis and Student-Newman-Keuls tests, adopting asignificance level of p < 0.05.
