Abstract

This project involves a virtual reconstruction of the historical Teat(r)o Oficina collection. It is known that the company's documentary material, dating from 1958 to the present, is neither cataloged, unified, nor preserved adequately. Given the importance and influence of the company on the cultural, artistic, and political history of Brazil, maintaining the memory of its work is essential, and preserving its material heritage is indispensable for this purpose. Therefore, this project aims to conduct a virtual reconstruction of the historical Teat(r)o Oficina collection, which will be achieved through the formulation of an inventory of all documentation from the period. For the creation of the inventory, all documentary material from the period in question will be mapped, considering the locations where each part is stored. The proposal presented above constitutes a project conceived, developed, and proposed by the pair of students: Clarice Pacheco Simões Chauí (CAC/ECA/USP) e João Paulo Amadeu Martins (DF/FFLCH/USP). Given the size of the task, each proponent will submit a project responsible for a historical section of the company to inventory. This one focuses on the years 1988-2023. It is expected that, upon the completion of both projects, an inventory of the archive will be available, covering the period from 1958 to the present.
