Abstract

Thoracic surgery requires cooperation between different areas of healthcare. However, patients' search for information online often results in conflicting sources of dubious origin, making it difficult to understand the literature. This study highlights the importance of pre- and post-operative patient education, pointing to the benefits of interactive multimedia applications in improving patient understanding of their prognosis and procedure, thus enabling them to actively participate in their treatment for a better more effective recovery.
