Abstract

This research aims to collect and analyze references to climatic phenomena, disease and famine in sources describing North Africa. For this research, Muslim chronicles produced between the 11th and 16th centuries will be used, including five Mamluk chronicles and three on the Maghreb region. The aim is to understand the relationship between the recording of crises and the construction of communities.
