Abstract

The present document relates the research project for a "Bolsa Estagio Pesquisa no Exterior" (BEPE) at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Sweden). This project is submitted by the national advisor of André V. G. Cavalieri and the foreign advisor of Ardeshir Hanifi. This research activity is part of the doctoral work by the grant 2023/12528-1. In this document, we focus on computing new high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to understand the sound generation by propellers. These simulations will serve as the baseline for comparing low-cost CFD simulations generated by new models developed in the doctoral research. This comparison is crucial for validating the effectiveness and accuracy of the new models. The high-fidelity simulations will be conducted at the foreign institute (KTH), as this institute possesses the facilities and academic support necessary to develop the sophisticated calculations required.These activities will enhance the comprehension and the process of data generation techniques necessary for the development of new quiet aircraft propellers. Consequently, this will also contribute to designing geometries that minimize noise pollution in future propeller generations.
