Abstract The increase in extreme weather and climate events, aggravated by the dynamics between continuous risk production, different vulnerabilities and climate change, demand comprehensive disaster risk management that is attentive to groups that are disproportionately affected in disasters, including children, women, the elderly, LGBTQIAPN+, indigeneous peoples and people with disabilities. The proposed master's project aims to co-produce inclusive methodologies for early warning systems, involving people with disabilities. The specific objectives include assessing the representation of this group in the literature on disasters, research methodologies and public policies, as well as their perceptions of risk, capacities and vulnerabilities in disaster preparedness. The methodology consists of documentary analysis and interviews, focus groups and participatory workshops. The results are expected to contribute to the improvement of public policies and the creation of people centered early warning systems that are effectively more accessible and inclusive. | |
