Abstract

During the pubertal development of girls, physical, hormonal, and psychosocial changes occur, which are important for the transition from childhood to adulthood. The onset of the pubertal process can vary significantly, highlighting the need for constant updates to guide health professionals in evaluating pubertal development. The objective of this project is to investigate the chronology of pubertal development events in adolescents. This is a cross-sectional study, including girls aged 10 to 15 years from the Ribeirão Preto region. Questionnaires will be applied to characterize the population, assess socioeconomic status, and collect clinical and anthropometric data. Answers to the questionnaires will be corroborated by parents and/or guardians and compared with medical records. The data will be stored and analyzed on the RedCap platform. The characterization of this population will allow for a careful evaluation by health professionals, enabling personalized support and, when necessary, appropriate interventions to promote a healthy transition to adulthood.
