Abstract

The study aims to conduct a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis of implementing nanotechnology-based interventions in agriculture. It highlights the potential benefits of integrating nanotechnology in agricultural practices while addressing environmental impact, health risks, regulatory challenges, and ethical considerations. The analysis will consider economic, environmental, and social implications, including initial investment costs, operational expenses, revenue gains, reduced chemical inputs, impact on soil quality, water resources, ecosystem health, greenhouse gas emissions, and sustainable farming practices. It will evaluate the cost-effectiveness of nanotechnology-based interventions like nano fertilizers, nano pesticides, nanosensors, and nanomembranes in addressing climate change and biodiversity loss. The study will assess trade-offs between increased productivity and potential risks associated with nanomaterials. It will also explore scalability, feasibility, long-term sustainability, policy implications, regulatory frameworks, intellectual property rights, technology transfer mechanisms, stakeholder engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ultimately, the analysis aims to highlight the potential of nanotechnology in agriculture to contribute to climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and food security, providing valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges of integrating nanotechnology into agriculture for a more sustainable and resilient future.
