Abstract

Introduction: Population aging drives the demand for home healthcare services. The increasing demand for telemedicine and eHealth has highlighted the importance of home-based diagnostic imaging exams and their benefits for patients and healthcare services. The implementation of these services requires considering stakeholders' perspectives for feasibility and effectiveness. Objective: To explore barriers, facilitators, and develop guidelines for the implementation of home-based diagnostic imaging services, focusing on technical, operational, and regulatory feasibility, as well as user experience. Methods: This is phase 2 of a study that began as a PIBITI project and will employ hybrid workshops with stakeholders in diagnostic imaging services to discuss a service delivery model for home-based imaging. The workshops will follow a collaborative format, enabling the exchange of ideas and knowledge on these services. Using the Think-Aloud method and content analysis, the aim is to identify barriers and facilitators for the implementation of these services within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), resulting in design guidelines. The analysis will be conducted using MAXQDA, which enables qualitative data analysis to ensure accuracy and depth of results. Expected Results: To develop a list of guidelines and a design concept that supports the feasible implementation of diagnostic imaging services within SUS. This is expected to contribute to innovation in healthcare technologies, making services more accessible and efficient while improving the quality of care and patient experience. Keywords: Diagnostic imaging, Home Care, User-centred Design, Stakeholder Participation
