Abstract

The post-doctoral project: An archaeological approach to Florbela Espanca's unpublished collection, will be developed from the collection of Casa Florbela Espanca, located in Vila Viçosa, Alentejo. The focus of the investigation lies in the exploration of an unprecedented set of documents by the poet, aiming to fill gaps in knowledge about her life and work. Recently, the owner of the House acquired an unprecedented collection that was in the possession of the poet's heirs. The research will allow exploration, but also fill gaps, offering support to new researchers in the area. The post-doctoral project aims to establish texts from original manuscripts, analyze the provenance and integrate these new materials into existing collections. Furthermore, the project will seek to fix and publish works by Florbela, promoting the preservation and access to unpublished materials, stimulating new investigations and research into her literary production and cultural impact.
