Abstract

The development of new materials for technological applications has achieved significant advances in the field of dielectric thin film deposition. Techniques such as pulsed laser deposition, atomic layer deposition, molecular beam epitaxy, and reactive sputtering have been systematically investigated to obtain materials with enhanced properties for specific applications. In this context, the present project proposes the synthesis of rare-earth-doped BiFeO¿ via a microwave-assisted hydrothermal route, followed by its deposition using RF magnetron sputtering to obtain multiferroic magnetoelectric thin films. The project also aims to control key characteristics such as single-phase crystalline structure, uniform and dense morphology, and ferroelectric domains exhibiting low-coercive-field hysteresis.
