Abstract

Before the advent of the network society era, in which the information technologies occupy a central position, and considering the growth of a more extreme right in various parts of the world, thisresearch seeks to investigate the potential influences of communication mediated by computer as an important way to understand thisphenomenon. The focus is on analyzing YouTube videos of influencersthat, according to the hypothesis of the study, played an important role in the of messages that contributed to the reactivation of the right in Brazil, especially in the form of a popular conservatism. Combining Content Analysis and Comparative Qualitative Analysis(QCA), the research aims to identify which discursive elements arehigher frequency and which are more relevant in the construction of these messagesinfluencers, influencing the adherence and engagement of the audience. It will seek to understand if these influencers can be considered as new organic intellectuals. (AU)
