Abstract

In nature, many animals masterfully achieve flight thanks to their specialized anatomy. To avoid obstacles and identify safe areas, they rely on a variety of natural sensors that enable them to perform aerial maneuvers efficiently and safely. Inspired by these abilities, research on such behaviors has gained prominence, not only in biology but also in engineering, particularly in the study of small aerial vehicles, commonly known as drones. In this context, this project proposes the development of bio-inspired algorithms-based on the behavior of animals-that can assist in drone landing, one of the most complex tasks, depending on flight conditions. To narrow the scope of the study, and given the vast number of animal species capable of flight, the behavior of bees will be adopted as the primary model for this research (AU)
