Abstract

This project aims to contribute to the development of the interface between Cinema, Geography, and Education, mobilizing concepts from the philosophy of difference as inventive forces in the relationships between art and science. The proposal unfolds from the broader research project titled "A FILMMAKER-RESEARCHER IN THE AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL: geographic education through the creation of a cinematographic series", and it seeks to foster South-South dialogues in research that employs the cartographic method proposed by Deleuze and Guattari (1995). The project will be developed in two phases. The first involves participation in Rewilding Technologies, with the goal of engaging with research in Philosophy and Education that explores Deleuze's (1990) concept of fabulation, particularly within the arts. The second phase consists of mapping and visiting educational cinema projects that dialogue with authors such as Alain Bergala (2008). Grounded in Doreen Massey's (2008) concept of place and focused on geographic education, the project seeks intersections between Brazilian thinkers like Nego Bispo and Ailton Krenak and counter-colonial (decolonial) South African thinkers. Thus, it aims to foster dialogue and exchanges with researchers, educators, and filmmakers, envisioning the creation of new distributions of the sensible (Rancière, 2005) through the articulation between art and education. This proposal aligns with the objective of promoting collaboration between researchers from Brazil and South Africa, as established in the recent scientific cooperation agreement between the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the National Research Foundation (NRF).
