Abstract

This project analyzes the economic dynamics and anthropogenic pressures in the Marajó Bay estuary, highlighting the intersection between economic activities, environmental sustainability, and public health in the Amazon region. Focusing on supply chains and transport logistics, the study adopts a mixed-methods approach integrating geographic analyses, river route modeling, and statistical clustering. As a core component of the research, detailed consultations with riverside and quilombola communities will be conducted through structured interviews and questionnaires tailored to these populations' cultural and socioeconomic specificities. The aim is to map economic activities, optimize logistical infrastructure, and identify socio-environmental vulnerabilities, proposing sustainable management strategies that reconcile regional economic development with the conservation of the Amazon biome and social well-being. Expected outcomes include scientific publications and policy recommendations to balance economic growth and environmental preservation. (AU)
