Abstract

This international research internship project aims to deepen the theoretical and methodological foundations of the master's research entitled "Meanings of Family with Psychologists from the Specialized Social Assistance Reference Centers (CREAS)", developed within the Graduate Program in Psychology at the University of São Paulo - Ribeirão Preto campus. Grounded in the social constructionist perspective, the study seeks to understand the meanings of family constructed with psychologists working in the field of Specialized Social Protection. To analyze the data produced (six interviews with CREAS professionals), Reflexive Thematic Analysis (RTA) was adopted, a methodological approach proposed by Braun and Clarke and widely used in qualitative psychological research. The internship will take place at the University of Auckland (New Zealand), under the supervision of Professor Virginia Braun, an international reference in RTA. The academic experience abroad will enable a critical deepening of the epistemological and operational foundations of the analysis. It will strengthen the quality of the ongoing research, expand the researcher's methodological perspectives, and contribute to the internationalization of the Graduate Program in Psychology, in addition to enhancing the methodological work of the DIALOG research group in critical approaches.
