Abstract

Introduction: Collaborative goal setting is fundamental in the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy (CP), a condition that affects movement, posture, and independence. While goals were previously defined by professionals and caregivers, recent studies emphasize the importance of including the child in this process, as their participation enhances motivation and leads to better therapeutic outcomes. Given the lack of playful tools to support this process, the game "My Goals" was developed, with components based on the ICF Core Set - CJ, to assist children in setting and prioritizing their goals. However, the game still requires validation. Content validity, the first step in this process, follows the Consensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments (COSMIN) guidelines and will be conducted by physical and occupational therapists. The involvement of these professionals contributes to improving the game items and facilitates the transfer of scientific knowledge to clinical practice. In this context, the participation of these professionals in the validation of the "My Goals" game is essential for its clinical applicability. Objective: To carry out content validation, consisting of the analysis of the structure of the game entitled "My Goals" as a tool to support the establishment of therapeutic goals. Methodology: The perception of physical and occupational therapists regarding the structural components of the "My Goals" game will be based on the checklist proposed by the Consensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments (COSMIN), applied through questionnaires. At the end of this process, a report will be generated to support the evaluation of possible changes needed to adjust the "My Goals" game.Expected Results: This study is expected to provide relevant insights into the perspectives of healthcare professionals regarding the "My Goals" game, contributing to its preparation for subsequent stages of psychometric validation and establishing it as a playful facilitator in pediatric rehabilitation.
