Abstract

This PhD project, to be developed at the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Scientific Computing (IMECC) at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), aims to study lattice theory with a focus on coding applications for efficient and secure information transmission. Particular attention will be given to parameters that are highly relevant in communication scenarios involving Gaussian noise. The proposal involves the development and analysis of lattice constructions derived from codes, emphasizing applications that require reliability, such as index coding, distributed storage, and federated learning. This proposal is linked to the project BI0S - Brazilian Institute of Data Science (FAPESP and MCTIC/CGI - CPA - 2020/09838-0), of which the advisor is one of the principal researchers. The themes proposed here are part of the "Method" and "Health" tracks of the BI0S project.
