Abstract

The project proposes a research internship at the University of Coimbra (Portugal) with the main objective of acquiring theoretical and practical training in the analysis of Portuguese archaeological ceramics, aiming to understand the processes of appropriation and transformation of the so-called Cerâmica Paulista in São Paulo. The research is framed within Historical Archaeology debates, seeking to understand the relationships between Tupiniquim peoples and the Portuguese through women's practices-particularly those related to material culture such as ceramics, forest cultivation, and foodways. The internship includes training in ceramic morphological analysis, technical drawing, and form reconstruction, as well as participation in the course Contemporary Archaeology. The choice of the University of Coimbra is justified by its strong tradition in historical and urban archaeology. Supervision by Prof. Dr. Ricardo Costeira da Silva-an expert in ceramics and in urban transformations between the Roman and modern periods-will provide crucial theoretical and methodological guidance. Moreover, the exchange will contribute to strengthening the ongoing partnership between UNIFESP and UC. (AU)
