Abstract

Based on the concepts of Soft Power and Public Diplomacy, this study seeks to understand how the Republic of Korea exercises them in Brazil, through the analysis of the Korean Cultural Center's activities. This institution is part of the policies outlined in the Work Plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. The internationalization plan focuses on strategies for promoting cultural exchanges and expanding the reach of the Korean language and traditional culture. As a government-affiliated institution, the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil (CCCB) operates within these areas. This project aims to research the history and functioning of the CCCB, as well as to analyze how its activities fit into the South Korean government's strategies to strengthen Brazil-Korea relations.
