Abstract

Introduction: Responsiveness is one of the validation steps of a questionnaire that assesses changes in a measure, in this case, comorbidities in cancer patients undergoing usual cancer treatment (SCT) over time. The Self-Administered Comorbidity Questionnaire (SCQ) appears to be a simple and easy-to-use tool that allows the identification of comorbidities without the need to analyze physical or electronic medical records or institutional administrative databases.Aim: To verify the responsiveness of the SCQ questionnaire in the Brazilian oncology population. Methods: The study will involve individuals who begin cancer treatment. Individuals will be assessed at three time points: pre-TUO (M1), post-TUO (M2), and follow-up (M3). At M1, individuals will be assessed up to one day before the start of the TUO, at M2, up to one month after the TUO, and at M3, six months after the end of the TUO (follow-up). The SCQ will be administered at all time points to assess responsiveness. Statistical analysis: For statistical analysis, SPSS 29.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA) will be used. Descriptive statistics will be employed to characterize the sample. Continuous variables will be described as mean ± standard deviation or median [interquartile range], depending on data distribution. (AU)
