Abstract

One of the best ways of thinking of quality of life is through the impact of development and public policies over a society on which the socio-environmental conditions and human dynamics present themselves as attributes of its stakeholders. Thus, using Geoprocessing and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) this project has the mapping and evaluating the Urban Quality of Life (UQOL) of Ourinhos/SP its main objeticve. To accomplish this, will be created Urban Quality of Life Index for each intra-urban micro-area of the city (IBGE census sectors) through the following dimensions of indicators: infrastructure, income, health, criminality, environment and education. Thematic maps will be tailored for each indicator in agreement with the index found and after that, a Urban Quality of Life Synthesis Map of Ourinhos too.This project will be useful to diagnose the people quality of life as citizen of Ourinhos, putting up subsidy for implantation of development plans and municipal management.
