Abstract

In this proposal we will focus on two topics. The first one has to do with the integrability in the AdS/CFT correspondence. The AdS/CFT correspondence is a remarkable equivalence between two sort of very different theories: a string theory and gauge theories. However there is a trouble, the AdS/CFT correspondence is a duality between the weak and strong coupling regimes which means that from the string theory side as well from the gauge theory side both have to be treated at different regimes. Then the AdS/CFT correspondence is hard to be tested for generic observables. Fortunately, recent works in this area have overcome this obstacle. This recent progress is strongly based in the integrability studies in string theory as well as in the gauge theory. We intend to use pure spinor techniques in the study of integrability. The second topic corresponds to analytical solutions in string field theory. Recent works in this area new mathematical technique were developed to analyze and to find new analytical solutions to the equations of motion in string field theory. Specifically in the bosonic case it was found an analytical solution which was successfully used in a analytical proof of Sen conjecture about tachyon condensation. The main goal in this research area is to go beyond bosonic string field theory and study the case of superstring field theory and look for analytical solutions in it. (AU)
