Abstract

This project proposes the analysis of the channels used for the cities, and particularly for the city of São Paulo, to insert in the negotiations of the regional integration processes (MERCOSUL and FTAA). The research will develop a detailed survey of the institutional trajectory of both the processes, searching to identify the different ways and mechanisms used by the local governments to present its demands and proposals in the context of the integration. The research's goal is to subsidize with information the Thematic Project "Gestão Pública Estratégica e Inserção internacional das cidades" (CEDEC, FGV-SP, PUC-SP, UNESP, 2004). (AU)
