Abstract

The Heck arylation of monosubstituted endocyclic enecarbamates employing arenediazonium salts will be thoroughly investigated concerning the regio- and stereoselectivity of the catalytic process. Previous studies demonstrated the formation of positional regioisomers, as well as, of stereoisomers cis/trans. Adjustments in the reaction conditions will be evaluated aiming at the regio- and stereocontrol of the process. Optimized conditions for the Heck arylation will determine the starting point for the synthetic application of these arylating reactions for the synthesis of natural compounds, and their analogues, displaying pharmacological activity.
