Abstract

Results of this laboratory and observations in the literature indicating that different pathogens induced the inflammatory focus in the same fish species, with difference in cells present in the inflammatory exsudate. The aim of the study will be the assessment of the kinetics of cell accumulation in the inflammatory focus induced in the by heat inactivated Aeromonas hydrophila and Flavobacterium columnare, in the swim bladder of juvenile Piaractus mesopotamicus Holmberg, 1887 supplemented with vitamin C and chromium. The fish will be injected with flogogen in the swim bladder and after six, eight, 24 and 48 hours the fish will be killed by a benzocaine solution and the exsudate will draw and evaluate for the amount of accumulated and total percentile cells of each cellular type. Other fish group not injected will be evaluated for the basal value observed in the swim bladder. (AU)
