Abstract

The intense competition, the constant technological progress, the market new requirements and the natural resources increasingly scarce impose to organizations the need for continuous change in order to operate and manage their business under the light of this new reality and to keep themselves competitive. In this context, the certifiable systems on base ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 norms rise as important tools for companies performance. The main goal of this work is to verify, through a survey research, if the winner companies of the Brazilian Quality Award have certifiable management systems and to verify how and in which level they are related to the PNQ management model. A brief theoretical review about Quality Management, Environmental Management, Safety and Occupational Health Management, Integration of Certifiable Management Systems and Brazilian Quality Award is presented.
