Abstract

The catalytic asymmetric synthesis of (R)-noradrenaline is proposed based on the enantioselective reduction of a protected form of chloroacetylcathecol featuring a chiral oxazaborolidine derived from (R)-diphenylprolinol as the catalyst, followed by ammonolysis and deprotection.
