Abstract We propose the development of planar photonic elements compatible with silicon technology. Particularly, the structures for light confinement and/or conduction will be based on silicon nitride and silica. Wave-guides, couplers, splitters and high quality factor micro-ressonators all operating at 1550 nm will be developed. | |
