Abstract

The polyaniline (PAni) can be used for metallic corrosion protection. However, for the polymer protective layer to have a real effect it must to present some properties, on of them been the adherence. This adherence is dependent of different parameters such as, surface geometry and morphology, used solvent and application method. In the present project three procedures will be used to apply the polymer solution on the metallic substrate: brushing, dip coating and spin coating. The specific parameters corresponding to each method will be analyzed and the film protection against corrosion will be evaluated by salt spray and anodic polarization tests.
