Abstract

The group IB corresponds to pregnant women bearers of mild hiperglycaemia, in other words, pregnant that present positive screening, but negative diagnosis for diabetes normal gestacional(OGTT100g), and answer altered in the glycaemic profile (GP). This group was, accidentally, identified in 1983, when I project prospective it was developed for standardization of PG comparing him/it with OGTT 100g in the diagnosis of the diabetes in the gestation (GDM).The hiperglicemia, main clinical manifestation of the Diabetes mellitus, generates species reactivate of oxygen (ROS) that alter proteins, lipids and DNA. Tends in view that diabetic pregnant women present stress exacerbated oxidativo, the present work has as objective investigates the levels of damages oxidativos caused by ROS in maternal and fetal DNA (8-OHdG). Besides, it will be evaluated the levels of 8-OHdG presents in the urine of those patient ones. They will be appraised women assisted at the Hospital of the Clinics of University of Medicine - UNESP, Botucatu - SP in the period of 1 year. 1) women with normal OGTT and GP (control group), 2) women with normal OGTT and abnormal PG (mild hiperglycaemia group), 3) women with abnormal OGTT and normal PG (gestational diabetes group), 4) women with abnormal OGTT and PG (overt gestational diabetes group). The newborn will be selected with base in the age gestacional (37 to 42 weeks). Samples of each adult individual's outlying blood, umbilical cord blood and urine will be collected, for experienced professional. The samples of blood collected will be processed immediately for determination of oxidative DNA damage(8-OHdG) while, urine samples will be stored for future dosages of 8-OHdG by ELISA.The significance level for all test will be considered p<0,05.
